|Fancy learning to knit? Join the ladies over cake and coffee and get creative.|
|‘Knit and Natter’ meet on a Monday morning at 10.30-12.30 at Val Stephenson`s house. It is a chance for ladies to get together in a relaxed environment to chat, have tea/coffee, cake and even carrot sticks and fruit.
Since starting over a year ago, the group have together knitted baby blankets and cardis for Baby Basics (a local charity for new mums), little hats for newborn babies for Yeovil hospital, adult hats for the Taunton Homeless Association, and jumpers for an African charity ‘Chip Shop Babies’. Most recently the group have started making hats for newborn babies at Bath hospital where almost 6,000 babies are born each year and they all have a white hat with either a green, orange or red pom-pom! Before sending items the women like to pray over them and the recipients before they go on their way.
There are a collection of wool, needles and patterns which can be used, and if you don`t knit and would like to learn someone can help with that!
