At South Chard Church we believe that following Jesus is a life journey of growth and transformation and not simply something to do on a Sunday. We believe in refining our faith and putting it into practice in order that we may become effective and fruitful disciples who are equipped to help others.

The Freedom in Christ Discipleship Course has been used by around 200,000 people in the UK. Topics covered include knowing your identity in Christ, dealing with strongholds and living in freedom. This transforming course provides a framework which allows people to examine their history, beliefs and lifestyle without fear of judgement, enabling them to throw off their emotional baggage for good. | |

Created by John and Lisa Bevere, The Story of Marriage is a six week course which looks at God’s plan and purpose for marriage. By taking a spiritual perspective and tackling issues such as how God designed marriage, the vision for your relationship and how to engage with one another, this course enables couples to make their marriages emotionally and spiritually strong. The curriculum is also useful for engaged couples preparing for marriage as they consider the God-given gifts which are unique to their connection and see how God’s purpose for their marriage is greater than themselves and can impact all who they will encounter. | |

The Crown Biblical Financial Study is a 10 week in-depth look at what the Bible teaches about money and possessions. Designed to apply Biblical principles to every believer’s finances, the course also provides an excellent structure and brings perspective for those who find handling money difficult. | |

Being a parent is one of life’s greatest joys, but it is also one of its biggest challenges. There’s hardly a mum or dad on the face of the earth who, at times, is not overawed by the task of parenting. That’s why we have chosen to run Parentalk, a great parenting course for small groups.  Parentalk is a course for all parents, grandparents and carers of children aged up to the early teenage years. In six sessions, Parentalk looks at the topics that affect just about every family. You will have the chance to talk to other parents about the day-to-day challenges that you face, as well as share the things that are going well. | |

Alpha is an opportunity to explore life and the Christian faith in a friendly, open and informal environment. Our Alpha course runs for ten sessions and includes food, a short talk and a discussion at the end where you can share your thoughts.
